Orders placed through our central web ordering portal are despatched as parcels, on pallets, or in roll-cages depending on access conditions at the destination. Our drivers will break-down palletised orders and bring the individual items across the threshold where required. The benefits include:
- Same day, next day or 2 working day service
- Electronic PODs
- Online consignment tracking (depending on the carrier)
We offer a variety of pricing models for the Storeflow service and invoices for orders can be sent to a cost-centre of your choice, i.e. to individual businesses/franchisees, or to your centralised accounts department.
Delivery to DCs and cross-docking
If you deliver to your own business network via an NDC or RDC we can also deliver full loads of consolidated orders into those locations on pallets or in roll-cages. You can also use our Preston warehouse as as a cross-docking facility if you would prefer consumables to be delivered on your own vehicles along with other goods for resale.
Flexible delivery charges
The cost of delivery can be covered by including it in the item price, by charging a flat fee, or by charging a fee based on order weight and destination. We can also provide free delivery based on order frequency or value. For example we could deliver free of charge if orders are placed no more than twice a week, or if they meet an agreed target value.
Secure stock holding
At the heart of the Global Storeflow service is our large modern warehouse located in Preston, Lancashire. We have over 40 years experience in warehousing and distribution and today we utilise state-of-the-art technology to ensure maximum operational efficiency.
Our warehouse features include:
- 16,000 pallet-spaces
- 2,000 ground-level picking faces
- High-bay and double-deep racking
- Advanced fire protection systems
- 24 hour remote security monitoring
Order processing, picking flows and stock control are managed by a bar-code driven warehouse management system. This delivers short cycle times and high accuracy. Our picking face capability is dynamic and can be easily expanded to accommodate additional lines.
Stock condition reports and forecasting
Our computerised stock control system ensures that stock levels in our warehouse, en-route and in production are always adequate to meet demand. The system generates detailed management information with advanced filltering so we can give you up to date stock condition reports and usage forecasts covering a 6 month period.
